Giving birth is an intimate experience that’s worth documenting. And no, I don’t mean by your partner shakily filming between your legs. Every mother’s birth story is different, and every story deserves to be told through artful, yet incredibly real, images. I totally get it. The thought of a complete stranger in the room while you’re the most vulnerable you’ve ever been in your life is terrifying. But, let me help put your mind at ease. Not sure if hiring a birth photographer is right for you? Don’t stress. I offer every potential client a free 30-minute phone consultation prior to booking. During the call, we’ll discuss all of your concerns. We’ll talk about your comfort level when it comes to nudity as well as angles that you prefer when I’m photographing. We’ll also go over what’s included in all of the birth photography packages.

Once you’ve chosen the package that’s right for you, we’ll decide on a payment plan that works for your budget. I offer payment plans to every single client for every single package. All payments can be made electronically, and your contract can be signed online as well. It’s my priority to make every part of the booking process as simple as possible. 

We’ll be in touch throughout your pregnancy, especially once you get close to your much anticipated due date. Birth is unpredictable, so as a birth photographer, I’m available at all hours. Once you’re in labor, and you decide to call your midwife or doctor, that’s when you’ll call me. I’ll be on my way in minutes and ready to capture your birth experience.

Like I said, I know the idea of hiring a birth photographer to be present for your most intimate moments can be a bit worrisome. But, I’m more than just a photographer. I’m a certified doula and a mother myself, so I come with plenty of experience when it comes to birth and motherhood. I know what you’re going through because I’ve been there, and I’ve helped other women through their birth experience as well. I have a calm energy and I take care of myself, so don’t worry about my needs or comfort level while you’re laboring and giving birth. I’m here for you. My main concern is documenting your birth story so that the memories are preserved for years to come. 

There are so many reasons to hire a birth photographer; It allows your partner to be completely present during the birthing process, it provides you with beautifully authentic images, and last but not least, birth photographers help you tell your story. Motherhood is an incredible journey and your child’s birthday is just the beginning.
